NJEA takes pride in its ability to organize its members to
participate in grassroots politics. Federal and State lawmakers make decisions that affect our schools, our students,
our communities, and our profession. Grassroots politics is not just an option, it’s our obligation!
We're asking you to volunteer a few hours in
the weeks leading up to Nov. 2 (Election Day).
Here are just a few of the many activities NJEA needs members to do when they volunteer for the
Committee of 1000: - Make phone
calls
- Distribute literature
- Attend events
- Organize other NJEA members
- Help to Get Out The Vote (GOTV)
